The documentary of the European LIFE MareNatura project is now complete, following months of immersive filming in Greece and Italy. This visually stunning film offers a compelling journey into contemporary scientific research and the pressing challenges facing the Mediterranean’s fragile marine ecosystems.
The first official trailer is now available, providing glimpses of field missions and revealing the insights of the scientists behind the project. The world premiere is scheduled for Thursday, November 13, at the French Institute in Athens, as part of the Science Festival “The Voice of the Ocean”, in a special limited-access event.
Directed by Italian filmmaker and marine biologist Roberto Lo Monaco and produced by the Mediterranean Association to Save the Sea Turtles (MEDASSET), the 47-minute documentary presents the intensity and diversity of scientific research with breathtaking cinematic quality.
