MISSION: SAVE THE SEA TURTLE

Are you ready to take on a mission to rescue, treat and rehabilitate an injured sea turtle?

At a glance

Our new educational programme invites students to step into the roles of rescuers, veterinarians, marine biologists and researchers, discovering the different stages involved in caring for sea turtles that have been injured or involved in an accident.

Through this hands-on activity, science becomes a game. Students explore different roles, work together, observe clues and make decisions, with each stage of the mission bringing them one step closer to completing their task and gaining a better understanding of how we can all contribute to the protection of sea turtles.

  • Duration: 1 or 2 class periods, depending on the number of “missions” undertaken by the students.
  • Recommended for: 5th and 6th grade primary school students and all lower secondary school grades.
