We are thrilled to announce the official launch of the LIFE MareNatura Documentary production!
Our journey began in the Tremiti Islands off the coast of Italy, where we partnered with the experts from the Italian Institute for Environmental Protection and Research (ISPRA) to document the region’s unique biodiversity and conservation efforts.
Our inaugural expedition brought us face-to-face with a team of dedicated scientists as they explore the remote cliffs and secluded caves that provide refuge to one of the Mediterranean’s most elusive seabirds: the Yelkouan Shearwater.
The Yelkouan Shearwater is an extraordinary species, laying a single, delicate white egg each year, fiercely protecting it from predators. These birds nest in hard-to-reach locations, making it a challenge to study them. However, understanding their behavior and safeguarding their habitats is crucial for the overall health of the Mediterranean ecosystem.
The LIFE MareNatura documentary will take us on a journey across 13 unique Mediterranean locations, each offering its own set of challenges and opportunities for conservation. As we film real-time fieldwork, interview passionate conservationists, and capture the untold stories of endangered species, the documentary will immerse viewers in the heart of the conservation movement.
