December 12, 2025
On November 13, in an auditorium filled to capacity and buzzing with anticipation, the highly awaited documentary LIFE MareNatura – Protecting Marine Life in a Changing World made its debut at the Institut Français de Grèce.
For the first time, viewers were invited on a compelling audiovisual voyage through the hidden stories of the Mediterranean—uncovering the wonders of its marine ecosystems and the urgent challenges they face in a rapidly changing environment.
Adding to the significance of the evening was the presence of director Roberto Lo Monaco, who traveled exclusively to Athens for this special screening. He was joined by project partners, representatives of key organizations, and distinguished guests whose support continues to drive the vision of LIFE MareNatura forward.
A Dynamic Conversation with the Audience
After the screening, a lively and insightful discussion took place, bringing together the public and the creative team. Participants exchanged reflections on the future of marine biodiversity, the difficulties of conservation work, and the meaningful opportunities that emerge when science, storytelling, and community action meet. The dialogue revealed not only concern for the Mediterranean’s future but also a shared sense of optimism rooted in collective effort.
Next Stop: Festivals Around the World
The documentary’s journey is only beginning. In the coming months, LIFE MareNatura– Protecting Marine Life in a Changing World will travel to international film festivals, carrying the voice of the Mediterranean far beyond Greece and inspiring global audiences to protect our oceans.
